Trades
A contractor site needs jobs, a town list, and a form
Homeowners Google the trade plus the town, then they look at photos. If the first image is a stock handshake, they keep scrolling. If the first image is a roof you actually finished, they stay. A contractor website is not a manifesto. It is proof you do the work, a list of towns you will actually drive to, and a form that does not bounce on a jobsite phone. License and insurance lines if you want them public. A tap-to-call number a thumb can hit with gloves off. That is the must-have list. The rest is decoration.
Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. Most standard jobs finish in under 72 hours when the brief is clear. We do not promise you will rank for “plumber” in a big city. We put the title tags and a usable page in place. Not a cart. Not a dispatch app. Not a members area. Those get a quote.
The three things that have to be there
Jobs. Three to ten photos of finished work. Before and after if you have them. Phone photos are enough. Daylight. The actual address-looking street is fine; you do not have to show a house number if you do not want to. Close shot of the detail, wide shot of the house. Skip the stock helmet on a stock roof. Skip the crew beer-can photo unless that is honestly your brand and you will own it on a school-district bid. Send what you have. Waiting on a “real photographer” is how the clock dies.
Towns. The towns or radius you serve. Do not list the whole state. If you do South Tampa and Hyde Park, say that. If you will drive 40 miles for a real roof and not for a tight faucet, say that on the form, not as a lie on a county list. Fake coverage is how you win a lead you will ghost. Google Business Profile should match. If the hours and the service area disagree, customers believe neither.
A form that works. Name, phone, town, what is broken. Big tap targets. Test it on cellular. Forms on this shop notify tampasbestdj@gmail.com. Yours should notify an inbox you actually open in the truck. A mailto that opens the customer’s empty mail app is a maybe. A “contact us” chat widget nobody staffs is a closed shop. Put the phone in the first screen as a real tel link. 813-451-2204 is how we do it on our own site — visible, tappable.
| Must-have | Optional | Skip |
|---|---|---|
| Finished-job photos | Before / after pairs | Stock handshake, stock skyline |
| Towns you actually serve | A map of the radius | All 67 counties “and surrounding areas” |
| Form + tap-to-call | License / insurance line | A 40-field application on mobile |
| HTTPS, real hours | A financing partner you already use | A fake badge, a fake #1 |
| Title, meta, Open Graph | A gallery page if you have the shots | An SEO plugin that promises rankings |
What does not belong
A slideshow that takes eight seconds to paint on a jobsite LTE. Music. A splash page. Lorem ipsum on About. “Family owned since” with no year and no family. A service list of 40 trades you do not do. If you are a roofer who will also do a gutter, say gutter. If you will not touch electrical, do not list it to look bigger. Wrong leads waste the afternoon.
Prices: put a range if the range is real (“most residential jobs $X–$Y”). Hide it if every roof is a walkthrough. Do not put “starting at $99” you will not honor. We will typeset what you approve. We will not write bait. Basic SEO is a title, a meta description, and Open Graph. Stuffing the town twenty times is junk. We will not do it. We will not sell a map-pack prize.
What it costs, and what to send
If you only need hours, a phone, and three job photos this weekend, the $27 one-page is the floor. +$27 lifetime hosting on our server ($54). If you want a designed marketing site with a real layout, a form, and a revision round, that is $500*. $100 down starts the $1,000 job. That is not the sale. $500 is pay-in-full by September 30, 2026 only. Send: business name, one sentence, the towns, photos, license line if you want it, the current URL if any, domain or a yes that we should help. Worldwide, 24/7.
Look at live work if you want to see how this shop treats proof. Then the contractor page for the short product pitch. If you already have a site, run the check before you pay. If the form works and the photos are real, stay and patch. If the form 404s, the number is a picture of a van, or the guy who built it took the login, rebuild. Phone 813-451-2204.
