Most brochure sites do not need a monthly babysitter

Cheap Fast Websites · updated August 25, 2026

Most brochure sites do not need a monthly babysitter. They need HTTPS, a form that still arrives, a phone number that is still right, and hours that match the door. That is an afternoon a few times a year, not a retainer. Maintenance products exist because WordPress, plugins, and page builders rot if you ignore them. A simple marketing site without a plugin stack does not rot the same way. If someone is selling you a $150/month “care plan” on a five-page brochure that never changes, they are selling a lawn service for a parking lot.

Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. Quoted edits are normal after launch. A mandatory monthly plan is not part of the price. Most standard jobs finish in under 72 hours when the brief is clear. We do not build a CMS you have to patch every Tuesday at this price. We also do not pretend a site can sit for six years with a 2019 copyright and a dead form.

When a retainer is real

You publish every week. You run WordPress or another CMS with plugins. You have a store with inventory. You have a membership area. You change a menu of 200 items. You have a developer who actually logs in. Then updates, backups, and a human who will catch a white screen are worth money. Pay that person. That is not this shop’s $1,000 brochure, and we will not call it that.

A retainer is also real if you want us on the hook to swap photos and prices on a schedule you will actually use. That is a quote. It is not sneaking in under “hosting.” Hosting is the machine. Maintenance is labor. SSL auto-renew on a sane host is not labor. Plugin conflicts are labor. “Change the phone number” is a small quoted edit. “Redesign the brand in December” is a rebuild conversation, not a care plan.

What actually breaks on a quiet site

The form stops arriving because the inbox filled up or the host changed a mail setting. The SSL lapsed because the host account died. The phone number is old. The hours are from a previous tenant. The domain auto-renew failed. Google Business still points at the old builder. Those are not a mystery. Put a reminder twice a year: open the site on a phone, on cellular, tap the number, send a dummy form, look at the lock, look at the hours. If four answers fail, you have a problem. If they pass, do not buy a plan out of guilt.

Hackers love abandoned WordPress. They do not care about a static brochure the same way. That is one reason we sell a marketing page instead of a CMS you will ignore. If you already have WordPress and it is not on fire, do not rebuild for sport. If it is on fire and you never log in, a $500* rebuild can be cheaper than another year of “we should update.” Read WordPress vs a done-for-you site if that is the fork.

What we do after launch

One round of changes is in the full job. After that, small changes are quoted. We do not disappear on purpose and we do not pretend we are on a 24-hour pager for $0. Phone 813-451-2204. Forms notify tampasbestdj@gmail.com. Hosting setup is in the job. The $27 pack can live on our server for +$27 lifetime ($54 total). Lifetime hosting is hosting, not unlimited redesigns. If you need a new page of services, ask. If you need a cart, ask for a quote. If you need “SEO every month,” that is another vendor. Basic SEO here is a title, a meta description, and Open Graph. It is not a ranking prize and it is not a monthly campaign.

$100 down starts the $1,000 job. That is not the sale. $500 is pay-in-full by September 30, 2026 only. Worldwide, 24/7. Look at live work if you want to see sites that are allowed to sit still because the phone and the form work. Then buy a site you can leave alone, not a hobby with a plugin tax.
