Setup
Domain, DNS, and hosting without the fog
Three different products get sold as “the website”: the domain (the name), DNS (the directions), and hosting (the machine that serves the files). Mix them up and you will pay GoDaddy twice, leave nameservers pointing at a dead builder, and swear the internet is broken. It is not broken. The arrows are wrong.
We set up the site, help you point the domain, and can host a one-page on our server. You still buy the name, and you still click at the registrar. That last part is a human step. Nobody honest can finish it without your login or your approval.
The three pieces
- Domain. yourname.com. You buy it at GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains’ successors, Cloudflare, whoever. Yearly fee. This is a lease on a name, not the site. Keep the email on the account. If you lose that, you lose the name.
- DNS. Nameservers and records. They tell the world which machine answers for yourname.com. Wrong nameservers is why “I bought the domain but the old Wix site is still there” happens for a week.
- Hosting. The server with the files. Bluehost is what this shop already uses. You can use a host you already pay for. The $27 pack can live on our server for an extra $27, lifetime ($54 total).
The website files are a fourth thing. They are what we build. Hosting without files is an empty apartment. Files without DNS is a house with no address.
Bluehost and the hosts we already use
Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. The standard marketing site includes hosting setup and help pointing the domain. A lot of our work lives on Bluehost because that is the box this company already runs. If you have Bluehost, we work there. If you have another host that can serve ordinary files, we work there too. If you are stuck in a builder that will not export, that is a rebuild, not a “point the DNS” afternoon.
| Piece | Who buys it | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | You (unless you ask us to walk you through it) | Tell you what to click. We do not steal the name. |
| DNS / nameservers | You click at the registrar | Give you the target. Wait for DNS. It is not instant. |
| Hosting | Your host, Bluehost, or +$27 on our server for the pack | Put the files on it, SSL so the lock icon shows |
| The site itself | $500* or $27 | Build, proof, one round of changes on the full job |
What you still have to click
Registrar logins are yours. We will not ask you to email the password in a form and then “handle everything.” Pointing nameservers, attaching the domain to a host account, and approving SSL are clicks only you should make — or make on a call. Phone 813-451-2204 if you want a human in your ear while you do it. Forms go to tampasbestdj@gmail.com, not to a mystery contractor.
DNS can take minutes or a chunk of a day. That is why a “72-hour site” can be done on our side and still wait on nameservers. The clock on the build is the brief. The clock on going live at yourname.com is DNS. We will say so instead of pretending a nameserver is a slogan.
$100 down starts the $1,000 job; that is not the sale. $500 is pay-in-full by September 30, 2026. Worldwide, 24/7. If you already have a domain and a dead site on it, check the URL first so we know whether we are replacing files or still fighting the old host.
Free next step: paste the domain you already own. Then pay $500* and we will tell you exactly what to click at GoDaddy, Bluehost, or wherever the name lives.
