Copy

Write the site like you want the phone to ring

Cheap Fast Websites · updated August 25, 2026

Website copy that gets calls is boring on purpose. Name. What you do. Where. Hours. A phone a thumb can hit. A sentence about how to start. That is the page. Slogans do not ring. “Unlock your potential,” “your one-stop shop,” “best in Tampa,” “family owned since always” — none of that tells a stranger whether you can be at their house on Thursday. Write like a person who wants the phone to ring. Not like a brochure that wants an award.

We do not sell a national prize. We do not write fake testimonials. We do not stuff “#1 Google” into a headline. Basic SEO on a standard site is a title tag, a meta description, and Open Graph. Those tags should match the same plain facts as the page. If the H1 is poetry and the title is “Home,” you wasted both.

This shop builds marketing sites. Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. Copy is part of that: we draft from your brief and the current URL, you correct what we got wrong, one round of changes. We are not a brand studio. If you need a 40-page voice guide, that is a different vendor. If you need hours and a phone on a page that does not embarrass you, this is the work.

What has to be on the first screen

A parked-car test. Open the page on a phone, on cellular. In ten seconds a stranger should know who you are, what you do, and how to call. If they have to hunt, they Google the next shop. That is not a font problem. That is copy and placement.

Photos belong here too, and they are copy in the way that matters. Phone photos of the real room beat stock. A stock skyline of a city you do not live in tells the customer you are not there. Ugly and true beats pretty and fake. We will use what you send. If you send nothing, the page waits. The 72-hour clock starts when the brief is usable, not when you first thought about a website.

Words that waste the page

LineWhy it failsWrite this instead
“Welcome to our website”They know. They opened it.The work, in one sentence.
“We are passionate about excellence”Every competitor claims it. None of it is a phone number. What you actually do, and for whom.
“Best [trade] in [city]”A prize you did not win. We will not put it on the page. The city you serve, once, where it is true.
“Click here”A mystery. Screen readers hate it. Humans skip it.The action: “Call,” “Get a quote,” “See hours.”
“Lorem ipsum” on AboutNobody is home. Two true paragraphs or delete the section.
A novel above the phoneThe parked-car customer is gone.Phone first. Story later, if you need it.

About pages are where good shops go to die. “Founded in…” is fine in a short paragraph after the contact path works. It is not the hero. Services lists should be the services you actually take. If you do not do commercial roofs, do not list commercial roofs because a template had a slot. Forms should ask for the few things you need — name, phone, town, the problem, a date if you are a DJ. A twelve-field form is a closed door with extra steps.

We will not write legal copy you have not approved. We will not invent a street address. Labeled SAMPLE pages on /examples/ use fictional shops on purpose. Live work on /work/ uses real ones — Dodo, Pets Helping Pets, Tampa’s Best DJ, LazerMerch, petcalendar.pet, US Helping the World. Those are this shop’s own sites, not fake client revenue. Steal the pattern, not the adjectives.

How copy gets into a job here

You send the current URL if you have one, a sentence about the work, hours, the phone, photos, and anything you already know is true. We draft the page from that. You mark what is wrong. One round on the full layout. Most standard jobs finish in under 72 hours when that packet is clear. If the words are still a fight in your head, say so. We can ship a tight page and you can add a story later. We cannot ship a ranking. We cannot ship a cart, an app, or a members area at this price — those are quoted.

The $27 one-page pack is even tighter: name, hours, phone, offer, photos, from a short interview. You host it. +$27 lifetime hosting on our server ($54). Use it when you need to look open this weekend and you do not need a revision round on a custom layout. The standard site is $500*. $100 down starts the $1,000 job. That is not the sale. $500 is pay-in-full by September 30, 2026 only.

If you already have a site full of slogans and a phone buried in the footer, you may not need new brand poetry. You need the first screen rewritten and the contact path fixed. Run the free check. If the bones are dead — form 404, no tap-to-call, no lock icon — that is a rebuild, not a copy workshop. Worldwide, 24/7. Forms notify tampasbestdj@gmail.com. Call if you want a human to tell you the headline is doing no work.
