Start anyway
No logo is not a reason to wait
Shops stall the website because they think they need a logo first. A designer quoted $2,000 for a “brand system.” A cousin was going to draw something in Canva. Six months later the Facebook page is still the whole business. A stranger who Googles the name gets nothing. The logo was never the blocker. The missing URL was.
A typed name, in a readable typeface, is a mark. People already call you that name. The van, the checks, the Google listing, the voicemail — if those already match, you have a brand. A swoosh on a business card is optional. A page that answers the phone question is not.
Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. We will typeset the name you actually trade under. We will not invent a crest. We will not hold the job until a brand PDF arrives. Most standard marketing sites finish in under 72 hours when the brief is clear. “We are waiting on a logo” is not a clear brief. Send the name, the work, the photos, the phone. The mark can come later as a quoted swap.
What to send instead of a logo
The name, spelled the way you answer the phone. If you trade as two names, pick the one on the checks and the Google listing. Mismatched names are how people think they have the wrong shop. A short sentence about the work. Three to ten photos from your phone of the actual jobs, the room, the food, the truck. Hours. The number you pick up. The towns you actually drive. That is a website. A vector file is not on that list.
- Name as it should appear in the title tag and the first heading
- One sentence: what you do, for whom, where
- Phone photos of the work. Daylight. No stock
- Hours, and a line if you are seasonal
- The number as a real tel link, and a form if you want one
If you already have a mark — even a rough one you use on invoices — send it. We will put it in the header if it reads at phone size. If it disappears at 80 pixels, we will say so and use the name. A logo that nobody can read is worse than type.
| What you were told | What a customer actually uses | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Need a brand before a site | The name and a phone | Launch the page. Add a mark later |
| $2,000 identity package | Whether you are open | Skip it until the URL works |
| Canva logo this weekend | Photos of the work | Shoot the jobs. Type the name |
| Favicon first | Tap-to-call | The tiny icon is last, not first |
| Matching stationery | The Google result and the first screen | Match the name across those. Paper can wait |
When a mark is actually worth money
You print it on 500 shirts. You wrap a van. You are in a mall with other shops and need a sign that reads at 40 feet. You have two names and a fight about which one to keep — settle that on paper, then put the winner on the site. A restaurant with a long name that does not fit a phone header might need a short wordmark. That is still type, not a mascot.
We will not sell you a “brand journey.” Multi-week brand systems are quoted separately and they are not this product. If you already paid someone for a logo and you have the file (SVG, PDF, or a large PNG), attach it to the brief. If the last designer kept the file, that is a different problem — read when the designer disappeared and who owns the files. We will not redraw a trademark you do not own.
Stock “logo makers” that spit out a mark in five minutes are fine for a softball team. They are a poor reason to delay a page that takes calls. If you use one, check that the name is spelled right and that you are allowed to use the graphic commercially. We will not promise it is unique. We will not put a clip-art eagle on a lawyer site because a generator offered one.
What we put on the page without a mark
The name, large, in the first screen. The work. Photos. Hours. Tap-to-call. A form that notifies tampasbestdj@gmail.com if you want one. Basic SEO: title, meta description, Open Graph. That is not a ranking prize. We do not sell #1 Google. A typed name in the title tag is how search and share cards work. A missing SVG does not block that.
The seven homepage looks on this shop’s own domain are layouts, not a client’s brand. Live work at /work/ is this shop’s sites: Dodo, Pets Helping Pets, Tampa’s Best DJ, LazerMerch. Those have marks because those businesses already had them — or they used type. We will not invent a fake client logo to make a sample look “real.” Labeled samples at /examples/ are fictional shops.
$100 down starts the $1,000 job. That is not the sale. $500 is pay-in-full by September 30, 2026 only. A one-page with a name and a phone is $27. +$27 lifetime hosting on our server ($54). Worldwide, 24/7. Send the name. Do not wait on a crest.
