After launch
You can change it. You probably should not live in an editor.
Yes, you can change it. That is not the same as living in an editor. People ask this because the last person vanished with the login, or because a cousin said every site needs WordPress so “you can update it yourself.” Then they never log in. The hours stay wrong. The form dies. The copyright says 2019. A CMS you will not open is not control. It is a second job you already proved you will skip.
Cheap Fast Websites sells a standard marketing site for $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. The job here includes files on a host you control, not a builder you cannot leave. You still own the domain. You still click at the registrar. After launch, small changes are quoted. A mandatory monthly babysitter is not part of the price. Most standard jobs finish in under 72 hours when the brief is clear.
What you own vs what you edit
Ownership is boring: the domain in an account whose email you can open, the files on a host you can log into, DNS you can point, a copy of the files you can download. That is how you leave. That is also how a different person can change a phone number later. A Wix or Squarespace login feels like editing until you try to take the site with you. Leaving those is a rebuild. Price that on day one. Who owns the files.
A standard marketing site from this shop is files, not a plugin stack. You can open them. You can hire someone else. You can send us a new photo and a new hours line. You do not get a WordPress dashboard at this price, and that is on purpose. WordPress plus twelve plugins is how a brochure becomes a retainer. If you publish every week, run a store, or have a membership area, you need a CMS and someone who will actually log in. That is a different product. We will quote it. We will not sneak it under $500*.
The $27 pack can live on our server for +$27 lifetime ($54 total). Lifetime hosting is hosting, not unlimited redesigns. You still own the domain you pointed. If you host the pack yourself, you have the file. Swap a photo if you know how. If you do not, email us. Do not buy the pack expecting a training course in HTML.
- Change of phone, hours, a photo, a sentence: quoted edit, or you edit the files if you want to.
- New service page, new gallery, a rewrite of the first screen: quoted. Sometimes it is a small job. Sometimes it is a rebuild conversation.
- Cart, app, members area: not this price. Quote those before you pay.
- You enjoy clicking every Saturday: keep Wix. Do not hire us to babysit an editor you like. DIY if you will finish it.
When “I’ll just log in” is the wrong plan
You will not log in. That is the usual case, not a rare one. Hours change twice a year. You send a text. That is cheaper than a dashboard you forget the password to. A site you can leave alone, with a form that still arrives, is the point of a brochure. Read do you need maintenance if someone is selling you a $150/month care plan on a five-page site that never changes.
| You wanted | What you actually get here | What that means next year |
|---|---|---|
| “I can update it myself” | Files on Bluehost or your host | You can. Most people email a change instead |
| A WordPress login | Not at this price | No plugin tax. Also no dashboard |
| A builder like Wix | No. We do not ship you a rental | Leaving a builder later is a rebuild |
| Unlimited self-serve edits | No. One round in the job, then quoted | Hours and a photo are a small invoice, not a portal |
| Hosting included forever | Setup on the full job; pack is +$27 lifetime if you want it | Hosting is the machine. Edits are labor |
| SEO I can “work on” | Title, meta, Open Graph | Not a ranking prize. No #1 Google toggle |
If the last person held the only login, you do not have a site you can update. You have a rental. Get the registrar. Get a copy of the files if they exist. If they do not, rebuild. Designer disappeared. We will not ask you to email a registrar password in a form. Phone 813-451-2204 if you want a human on the click.
How edits work after launch
One round of changes is in the full $1,000 job. After that, you send what changed. We quote. We do not pretend we are on a 24-hour pager for $0. We also do not disappear on purpose. Forms notify tampasbestdj@gmail.com. Put the new hours in the email. Put the new photo as an attachment. That is the process. It is slower than a dashboard you would not open, and faster than “I’ll learn WordPress this winter.”
Standard marketing website: $1,000, or $500* if you pay in full by September 30, 2026. Sale is pay-in-full only. $100 down starts the $1,000 job ($900 due). That is not the sale. The pack is $27. Do not send a $27 receipt and then ask for a CMS. After you pay, the sequence is pay, brief, draft, one list of changes, live. What happens after you pay. Shape of the site — one scroll vs rooms — is one-page vs multi-page. What the designer actually does is not “set you up in an editor.” What a designer does.
Worldwide, 24/7. Live work: /work/ — Dodo, Pets Helping Pets, Tampa’s Best DJ, LazerMerch, petcalendar.pet, US Helping the World. This shop’s own sites, files we can actually move. Labeled samples: /examples/. Hire: /hire/. If you already have a builder you like and you will log in next month, stay. If you wanted the feeling of a login and you will not use it, buy a site you can leave alone, and send an email when the hours change.
Free next step: paste the URL you think you can edit. Then pay $500* if you want files and a host you can take with you — not another dashboard you will ignore.
